SECU members have increasing concerns about the many issues and problems which have arisen at SECU since 2021, non-competitive savings rates, discriminatory risk-based lending with an additional $250 million in loan losses, much higher operating costs, and low employee morale - resulting in noticeable declines in service quality.
Additionally, for the first time in credit union's history, the existing board of directors have silenced the membership's voice by not allowing you to speak at the annual meeting. How can they listen if you are not allowed to speak?
SECU members have a choice in their directors and the direction of their Credit Union, especially when incumbent directors only promise more of the same. Over 8,000 members petitioned to have the following 4 member-nominated board candidates be added to the ballot:
Jean Blaine - Susie Ford - Julian Hawes - Kirby Parrish.
The member-nominated candidates want to restore SECU's reputation for fairness to every member, with a goal to lead SECU:
BACK TO BASICS AT SECU!
1) End Risk Based Lending. Restore the same, best rate for every member.
2) Restore competitive savings rates for every member.
3) Restore the commitment to "Do the Right Thing" for every member.
4) Restore the local focus. Local communities, local jobs, local decisions for every member.
5) Restore the employees' faith in fairness, equal opportunity, and quality service for every member.
They will do this with local people and the latest technology.
It is extremely difficult to oust entrenched, incumbent directors, but the SECU membership did just that last year! Vote for the 4 member-nominated candidates now to get a majority on a board. It takes a majority to make the needed changes to restore the credit union to a member focus.
Vote All 4 in '24! Vote for Jean Blaine, Susie Ford, Julian Hawes, and Kirby Parrish.
